Iternational Business Sustainability and Ethics (18 hours):
This module provides an opportunity to explore the ethical dilemmas that confront those managing multinational organisations and supports the development of reflexive skills to enable personal response to such dilemmas. The aim of this course is to enable students to critically evaluate strategic aspects in the field of sustainable development and international corporate responsibility using concrete examples and cases studies.
Sustainable Supply Chain Management and Ethical Sourcing (12 hours):
This module introduces operational aspects of sustainable supply chains. It analyses the implications of environmental considerations in logistics decisions (including carbon footprint, sustainable logistics, closed-loop supply chains, reverse logistics). Sustainable supply chain strategy and ethical sourcing are addressed.
Purchasing (18 hours):
This module explores current procurement practices using lectures and case studies. It explores the market research and selection, the buying strategy and planning, the role in the supply chain and import documentation. Students will gain insights into sourcing technics, sourcing risks, spend analysis, lean and e-procurement, negotiations, reverse auctions.
Supply Chain Management II (18 hours):
This module focuses on the planning, processes, and activities of supply chain management for companies involved in international commerce. Students examine the end-to-end processes and operational challenges in managing global supply chains with a combination of lectures and cases covering the operating issues in supply chain management. It can also include: supply chain risk management, supply chain restructuring and change management; performance measurement and management and current challenging supply chain issues.
